Julieann is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and received her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University. Upon completing her naturopathic board exam, she will begin her first year residency at Holistique in March, 2019.
She has received extensive training in physical and sports medicine. As Co-Captain and member of the Bastyr University Sports Medicine club, she provided first aid and sports medicine at large sporting events such as the Seattle Marathon, the Emerald City Volleyball Tournament, the Gigantic Bike Festival, and the US Gaelic Football Olympics. She is trained in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, kinesio taping, biocranial technique, trigger point therapy, naturopathic manipulation, acupuncture and Chinese herbs.
Before moving to Washington from the Bay Area, she worked as an AmeriCorps member and medical assistant at a community clinic. There she learned the need for preventative medicine in healthcare, and sought to become a naturopathic physician addressing the root cause of a disease, and avoiding pharmaceuticals by addressing diet, lifestyle, mental and physical health.
In her free time, Julieann likes to play the ukulele, workout, play volleyball and basketball, hike, explore new restaurants, cook Filipino food, and sing karaoke.
