Cold Laser Therapy

Cold (low level) laser is a non-invasive, non-toxic, and effective therapy that uses light to stimulate cellular energy. It promotes cellular regeneration, collagen production for tissue repair and increases blood flow for improved circulation. When tissue is injured, a great deal of energy is dedicated to fighting inflammation and infection and very little energy is left for the cell to repair itself. Cold laser therapy can speed up the healing process by helping the cells produce the energy needed for regeneration.

Conditions treated with cold laser therapy

Cold laser therapy can be used to treat many different conditions including wounds, muscle pain, abdominal pain, sports injuries (including tears, sprains and strains, and contusions), degenerative issues (including arthritis and bone spurs), inflammatory conditions (including bursitis, tendonitis, and plantar fasciitis), post-surgical sites, and much more. The cold laser therapy has a cumulative effect, so for best results, weekly or biweekly treatments may be necessary and will be determined by the prescribing doctor. Treatments are between 15 – 30 minutes.

At Holistique, we offer a specialized laser therapy that detects impedance in the tissue, which helps to guide the treatment and increase its accuracy and effectiveness.
